Security Services for Patrols and Alarm Response and Major Events and Festivals

⁠⁠⁠The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for the carrying out of Security Services for Patrols and Alarm Response and Major Events and Festivals in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFT).

The City seeks to contract supplier(s) for the purpose of:

Part A - Patrols and Alarm Responses; and/or

Part B - Major Events and Festivals

Part 1 - Patrols and Alarm Responses

Patrols and alarm response services across appointed properties. The scope includes regular internal and external patrols at the times requested by the City; lock-up and unlock services; 24/7 alarm response capability delivered in accordance with applicable Australian standards; and the provision of static security services when required.

Part 2 - Major Events and Festivals

Major Events and Festivals utilise professional security services for the safe and compliant operation of its events. These events include Sydney New Year's Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas Decorations, Concerts and fairs, Sydney Streets, Capital Works Events, Art & About and other events as required. In addition to security services, Responsible Service of Alcohol trained security personnel are required on some events, and, strategic security planning services are also required on some events.

Tender Options

The City reserves the right to award each part of the tender separately, based on the outcome of the evaluation process.

Tenderers must submit all mandatory items for the relevant Part of the tender in order for their response to be considered.

Term of the Agreement

The period of the contract is for three (3) years with an additional three (3) options to extend for one (1) year each. The option to exercise any extension shall be determined by the City, at the City's discretion.

Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this RFT.
