Tender Description

Scope of Work

Windscreen Replacement, Tinting and Associated Glass Services

Dampier and Cape Lambert Ports

The scope of work includes the provision of windscreen replacement, glass repair and tinting services for mobile equipment operating at Dampier and Cape Lambert Ports. This includes, but is not limited to, light vehicles (LVs), forklifts, cranes, and other mobile or light mobile equipment. Subject to site requirements, this scope may be extended to include heavy mobile equipment (HME) such as loaders, dozers, and graders.

Service Delivery Model

Services must be delivered through a flexible model that allows for both on site and off site works to minimise equipment downtime and maintain operational continuity.

On Site Services

The service provider shall be capable of mobilising to Dampier and Cape Lambert to perform windscreen replacement, repairs, and tinting on site where required.

On site services may be requested on an ad hoc basis to accommodate unplanned damage and short notice repairs required to return equipment to service promptly.

All on site works must comply with relevant Rio Tinto site access, safety, and permit requirements.

Off Site Services

Where operationally suitable, vehicles may be taken directly to the service provider’s workshop.

The service provider must have access to, or operate, a suitable and compliant workshop facility in Karratha capable of undertaking windscreen replacement, tinting, and associated repairs.

Off site servicing is particularly relevant for Dampier based vehicles where logistics allow, while still maintaining flexibility for Cape Lambert where access and transport constraints may apply.

Associated Services

The scope may include additional services associated with glass damage, such as:

• Removal and cleaning of broken glass from vehicle interiors, including seats and carpets

• Minor detailing required as a direct result of smashed or damaged glass

• Coordination of these services either directly or through subcontracting arrangements, where applicable

Volumes and Demand

Vendors are expected to demonstrate their ability to accommodate variable demand, including any ramp up required to service peak or unplanned workloads.

Responsibilities

The service provider shall be responsible for supplying all labour, materials, equipment, and consumables required to deliver the services. All works must be completed in accordance with relevant industry standards, Australian safety requirements, and Rio Tinto policies and procedures.

Further Notification

This scope of work is a summary description of goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.
