Tender Description
The Department coordinates approved training through the VET Teacher Training Program for teachers to deliver VET courses to secondary students in NSW schools. This is a refresh of the existing Panel.
Scope
The Department has oversight of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Teacher Training Program. This program is managed on behalf of and in cooperation with other school sectors - Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) on behalf of diocesan RTOs and the Independent Schools of NSW (ISNSW) on behalf of the Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in the Independent School sector.
The Department coordinates approved training through the VET Teacher Training Program for teachers to deliver VET courses to secondary students in NSW schools.
In 2025, the Department established a panel of providers for VET Training Programs for Secondary School Teachers consisting of 11 contractors. The current arrangement commenced on 1 February 2025 and expires on 31 January 2028. There are also two by one year extension options at the discretion of the Department, potentially taking the contract term out to 31 January 2030.
The Department’s annual review of the training programs provided under the program and the existing provider panel showed gaps in coverage, making a panel refresh necessary.
