Tender ID: 609312
Tender Details
Tender Description
Gilgandra Shire Council (Council) is developing a multipurpose sports facility to be known as the Gilgandra Recreation Centre (GRC). Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to perform geotechnical investigations in the relevant study areas, and provide advice on design parameters of the facilities consistent with the investigation findings.
The GRC Investigation Figures in the supporting documentation provide an overview of the study area and approximate locations. It is essential to understand the geotechnical conditions of the study area to make informed decisions regarding the design of the precinct.
The investigation and assessment should include:
• Description of site geology
• Details of field work methods and laboratory testing results
• Design advice on building foundations and pavement
• 13 boreholes with excavation depth of 4 metres, evenly distributed across the study area to give an accurate assessment of the entire project focus area. Council may require the consultant to excavate additional boreholes within the study area. Consultants are therefore encouraged to provide a lump sum price for the 13 boreholes, along with a schedule rate per borehole for any additional boreholes that may be required.
• Borehole reports shall include the following information:
- Dynamic Cone Penetrometer
- Bearing capacities
- Atterberg limits
- Shrink-swell potential
- Settlement characteristics
- Aggressivity
- Optimum moisture
- Skin friction and shaft adhesion
- Contamination assessment
