Fire Prevention Services

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced companies to provide maintenance, compliance and testing services to the fire prevention systems located within Council’s buildings and facilities.

Sunshine Coast Council maintains a large number of buildings across the Sunshine Coast Region. These buildings contain a variety of fire protections systems and equipment which require various levels and types of servicing on a scheduled and reoccurring program and must be maintained to comply with Australian Standards and Queensland Government safety regulations.

Details of the specific systems is outlined in the Service and Technical Specification attached to this invitation to tender.

The maintenance and testing requirements include:

•  Scheduled fire systems testing;
•  Scheduled cleaning;
•  Annual mechanical and electrical servicing;
•  Corrective maintenance;
•  BMS / BSIP critical alarm response: and
•  Emergency response / after-hours call out as required.

The successful Contractor will be required to establish an Annual Maintenance Planner scheduling all maintenance, testing and replacement activity performed under this contract.

This is a schedule of rates contract, commencing 1 July 2026, and will have an initial term of 3 years, with the option of one (1) further 24-month extension at Council’s discretion.
