The project aims to replace the existing concrete drainage channel between Bundaberg Creek and Lake Ellen Park and restore the area to a more natural, resilient, and community-friendly waterway.
The project will transform the heavily modified creek corridor into a naturalised waterway that will enhance environmental health, improve stormwater quality, and create a connected and attractive open space. Key elements include naturalised channel works, improved active transport links, new park facilities, and nature play areas to encourage public use and recreation.
