Procurement of Telehandler for WTE 1 site Operations

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of this procurement is to replace the existing JCB telehandler (Model: 35-95-IND-T4-PB5UPB) used for site operations. The current asset will reach the end of its ten-year service life in July 2026 and is subject to a major statutory inspection requirement. A make-or-buy analysis has been completed, evaluating lifecycle cost, safety, reliability, and operational performance.

The assessment determined that undertaking the required ten-year inspection and retaining the existing telehandler would present increased cost and operational risk. Accordingly, the recommended approach is to trade in the existing unit and procure a new telehandler of equivalent or improved capability.
