Dunedoo STP Electrical and Control Works

⁠⁠⁠Warrumbungle Shire Council (WSC) plans to undertake a program of works to upgrade the Dunedoo Sewerage Treatment Plant located at 92 Golden Highway, Dunedoo NSW 2844.

The work included in this Electrical, Instrumentation and Control package is for the Installation of various electrical components that will complement the construction/installation of several structures, civil works, pumping systems, pipelines and process equipment, including but not limited to the following:

1. The design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of New motor control centre (MCC) and electrical, instrumentation and control (EIC) works; 

• Generator connection point to the main switchboard with a manual transfer switch; 
• All site electrical installation including switchboards, cabling and integration of new and existing equipment;
• conduits, pits and cable supports; 
• Connection into the existing telemetry systems; PLC and HMI hardware and programming; 
• Site ethernet networks and security and fire alarm systems; 
• Site power and lighting.

2. Testing and commissioning and provision of:

• FAT testing
• Cutover planning and workshop
• Work as Executed drawings;
• Operation and maintenance manuals; and
• Electrical system control training.

3. Modifications to existing building to house new MCC:

• Design and construct modifications to the existing brick building to house new MCC, including development of the Principals concept design for the building modifications.
• The Dunedoo STP is an operational Sewerage Treatment Plant and must remain fully operational throughout delivery of the works. Warrumbungle Shire Council holds an Environmental Protection Licence issued under the Protection of Environmental Operations Act (POEO) for operation of the works and is required to continue to meet obligations of this licence throughout the project.
• The Contractor is to work with the Principal to ensure work under the contract does not interfere with the performance of the treatment process or delivery of other works associated with the broader STP upgrade project. This will require co-ordination of some activities with the Principal, works by other contractors and also require some works to be delivered in a specific order.
• The Contractor is required to provide all labour, plant, materials, services and documentation necessary for the complete construction and installation of the works as detailed in the contract documents, including the design of minor items and shop detailing.
