Scope of Works
Overarching Scope of Work – Consolidated Across Six Service Lots (LOTs)
1. Introduction
Rio Tinto is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified suppliers to deliver services across six distinct Service Lots (LOTs). Respondents may submit an EOI for one, multiple, or all six LOTs.
This document provides an overarching description of each LOT and explains how respondents should complete the EOI spreadsheet.
2. Instructions to Respondents
All questions for each LOT are located in the accompanying EOI spreadsheet.
Respondents must:
- Nominate which LOT(s) they are applying for.
- Answer only the questions related to the LOT(s) selected.
- Provide required supporting documentation.
If responding to multiple LOTs, ensure answers are clearly separated and labelled.
3. Service Lots (LOTs)
LOT 1 — Supply of General Practice (GP) Clinic Services
Covers GP services across Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Pannawonica and Wickham, including remote clinical governance, workforce stability, cultural safety, digital service coordination, and reporting expectations.
Respondents must complete all LOT 1 questions.
LOT 2 — Remote Pilbara Medical Services / Poisons Permit Holder
Covers acting as a WA Health Service Permit Holder and providing medical direction across remote sites, including 24/7 on‑call coverage, remote clinical triage, medication management, audits, and CPG development.
Respondents must complete all LOT 2 questions.
LOT 3 — Occupational Physician Services
Covers provision of qualified physicians to deliver Fitness for Work assessments, injury management support, site visits, clinical opinions, governance of assessments, and medical oversight.
Respondents must complete all LOT 3 questions.
LOT 4 — Supply of AHPRA‑Registered Health Practitioners
Covers Registered Nurses and other practitioners to deliver medical surveillance, FFW assessments, health promotion, emergency response (RST), and governance across Pilbara and Perth operations.
Respondents must complete all LOT 4 questions.
LOT 5 — Emergency Services Officer (ESO) Backfill
Covers supply of ESOs for planned and unplanned backfill, including competency verification, training, capability assessments, equipment servicing, and emergency vehicle support.
Respondents must complete all LOT 5 questions.
LOT 6 — Pre‑Employment and Periodic Medical Assessments
Covers large‑scale delivery of pre‑employment and periodic medicals (approx. 20,000 annually), including national clinic coverage, bookings, assessments, FFW outcomes, legislated rail medicals, data management, and Cority integration.
Respondents must complete all LOT 6 questions.
4. Submission Requirements
Respondents must ensure:
- Answers are provided directly in the EOI spreadsheet
- Supporting documentation is attached where required
- LOT(s) being applied for are clearly identified
- Responses are complete and accurate

This scope of work is a summary description of goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.
Your business capability statement, as stored on your portal profile, may be downloaded and referenced when the responses to the expression of interest are reviewed. It is recommended that Suppliers review the portal business details section to ensure all information, including contact email address, annual turnover and employee numbers, is current and accurate.
As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
