ICT Portfolio / Program Manager (Technical)

We are seeking a highly capable ICT Portfolio and Program Manager to oversee the successful delivery, alignment, benefits realisation, and interdependency management of the ICT program of work within the Technology Branch at the National Archives. The role requires someone who shapes strategic thinking by maintaining a clear line of sight between Enterprise strategy, ICT initiatives and organisational outcomes, and who leads and communicates with influence across senior stakeholders and delivery partners. Operating within a predominately vendor‑delivered model, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong vendor and contract management, working with project managers to ensure partners deliver to scope, risk, quality, and schedule expectations. They will achieve results by driving governance, prioritisation, risk mitigation, and assurance activities across multiple complex streams, while cultivating productive working relationships with business areas, architects, and delivery teams to ensure cohesive and effective portfolio execution. Strong professional and technical expertise in ICT program management is essential.
