Yamba Movement and Place Plan

⁠⁠⁠Clarence Valley Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified consultants to prepare a Movement and Place Plan for Yamba. The plan will establish a strategic framework to guide the future of Yamba’s street network, balancing the safe and efficient movement of people and goods with the town’s coastal character and growing community and visitor demands. Yamba’s limited access points, constrained corridors and increasing visitation create congestion, safety and amenity challenges that require a coordinated and forward-looking approach.

The successful consultant will undertake transport analysis, movement and place assessment, community and stakeholder engagement, and develop options to better balance movement and place functions across the street network. The work will include traffic modelling and testing of potential changes, preparation of concept plans and visual material, and identification of a prioritised program of improvements to guide future planning, investment and decision-making.

Services may be undertaken remotely, however at least two site visits will be required for stakeholder engagement and on-ground assessment. The contract duration is expected to be approximately 36 weeks.
