Expression of Interest Chairman - Audit and Risk Management Committee - Belyuen Community Government Council

Belyuen Community Government Council (BCGC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) to serve as the Independent Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC).

The ARMC plays a key role in supporting the Council by providing independent assurance and oversight of the organisation’s financial management, governance, risk management, compliance, and internal control systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Chairperson will:

• • Lead and facilitate meetings of the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
• • Provide independent oversight of financial reporting and internal controls.
• • Monitor the organisation’s risk management framework and compliance obligations.
• • Ensure the Committee effectively supports the Council in fulfilling its governance and accountability responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• • Experience in audit, finance, governance and risk management
• • Strong understanding of corporate governance and financial oversight.
• • Previous experience serving on boards or audit/risk committees (Chair experience desirable).
• • Ability to provide independent and objective advice.
