Prospect Creek School Safety Project 2025 – 2026

⁠⁠⁠Banana Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the completion of the construction of Prospect Creek School Safety Project 2025 – 2026 as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope. All works related to this contract must be completed within 60 days after the contract award.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Overview

The Works Under the Contract (WUC) are located at Prospect Creek School, within the Banana Shire Council local government area, as shown on the Locality Map (Appendix A).

The WUC generally includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Site establishment and set out, including service location and protection.

2. Traffic management design, approvals, and implementation.

3. Installation of Environmental Management Plans, sediment and erosion control plans

4. Implementation and management of Cultural Heritage Plan

5. Tree removals, clearing, and grubbing.

6. Survey & Setout of the works

7. Earthworks, site grading, and excavation for pavement formation.

8. Preparation & formation of subgrade

9. Construction of Type 2.3 Unbound Pavement Layer

10. Construction of Type 2.1 Unbound pavement Layer

11. Construction of Subsoil drainage infrastructure (Provisional if ordered)

12. Construction of Kerb & Channel

13. Sealing works – supply and application of bituminous surfacing and aggregate in accordance with DTMR standards.

14. Construction of new concrete footpaths, hardstands, and pedestrian connections.

15. Installation of tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) to accessible areas.

16. Construction of driveways and crossovers in accordance with CMDG standards.

17. Construction of bus shelters to TransLink standards, including concrete hardstand base.

18. Installation of fencing and gates, including any adjustments to existing boundaries.

19. Installation of handrails, wheel stops, pedestrian and vehicle safety.

20. Installation of regulatory and warning signage, line marking, and pavement markings as per MUTCD requirements.

21. Placement of topsoil, hydro mulching disturbed areas

22. Final cleanup, site reinstatement, and demobilisation.
