Web Content Strategy and Design

The Meat Exports Branch of the Exports and Veterinary Services Division requires a Web Content Strategy and Design project to refresh the Department’s Export Legislation, Manuals and Essential References (ELMER3) website, to be completed by 30 June 2026.

The ELMER3 website provides a single point of reference on meat export operations for entities wishing to export meat and meat products, the broader meat industry, departmental staff, and the Australian public.

The objective of this project is to improve the usability, findability, and navigation of resources available through ELMER3.

This includes:

• Conducting a content audit and categorisation of the roughly 150 linked resources in ELMER3, which include a mix of content hosted on the DAFF website and on external websites;
• Using the outcomes of the content audit and categorisation to inform content and navigation solutions that leverage existing web platform capabilities; and
• Undertaking user research and testing to ensure the proposed approach to content and navigation is fit for purpose and meets users’ needs.

This project aims to enhance user engagement with the platform and improve understanding of departmental regulations, policies, and guidance for the meat sector.
