Lachlan River Fish Screening Program Tallawanta Offtake downstream of Hillston

⁠⁠⁠Project goals

To design and construct a modern fish-protection screen at the Tallawanta pump site in the Lachlan Valley to prevent native fish from entering the pumping system, improve environmental flow delivery in the regulated Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam, and support ecological outcomes under the CEWO Environmental Activities Framework, with project completion targeted for 2026.

Scope

Design and manufacture fish screens suitable for the maximum pump capacity of 100 ML/d for one (01) pump, and install them as an appropriate system in collaboration with DPIRD | Fisheries & Forestry and the end users.
