Managed IT Infrastructure Services

⁠⁠⁠Western Downs Regional Council is seeking to engage an ICT infrastructure support partner to assist the ICT Team with the ongoing management, monitoring and maintenance of critical infrastructure. This partnership is intended to augment the teams' capabilities and is not intended to be a fully managed service.

The successful partner must have demonstrated experience working within enterprise server environments and possess relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft and VMware. Expertise in backup and disaster recovery solutions is essential.

Responsibilities will include assisting with oversight and maintenance of both physical and virtual servers, storage systems, databases and backup solutions. This will include monitoring, patching, performance optimisation, and alerting the ICT Team of issues in a timely manner. All work will follow Council's change management procedure.

They will also assist the ICT Team with disaster recovery efforts and be involved in routine testing, validation and documentation of disaster recovery procedures.

The successful partner will be required to adhere to agreed SLAs for system uptime and issue resolution.

Regular reports are to be provided detailing system health, incidents, maintenance activities and compliance status. Periodic meetings will occur with Council representatives to review performance and statistics, and any improvements to services to ensure continual and reliable service delivery.

Ad hoc services may include but are not limited to Azure Support (Azure virtual machine, licensing, etc). Applicant should outline capabilities supporting Microsoft Azure. These services would be separate to the contract and therefore be considered billable services.
