1 Lead Delivery Manager

The Department of Finance is seeking a self‑motivated and experienced Delivery Manager to lead the completion of a business case and associated strategic deliverables for a critical Whole‑of‑Australian‑Government program. The engagement will support the continued progression of the initiative, with a focus on securing future funding and delivering long‑term artificial intelligence benefits across the Australian Public Service.

The program includes a range of projects and initiatives that will inform the development of the business case. Your role will involve engaging with these workstreams and collaborating closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to shape and advance the business case. You will oversee a vendor responsible for discovery activities, integration design, and the development of costed options, while also taking a hands‑on role in these processes. In addition, you will manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure all consultations are conducted effectively and appropriately.

You will be instrumental in:

• Shaping the strategic considerations and inputs of a number of AI focused technology initiatives within the program that prove value to the APS.
• Actively engaging hands-on to plan and execute project deliverables, contribute to program-level reporting and provide executive briefings on request.
• Engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, both technical and business focused to align expectations, negotiate outcomes and progress development of a relevant business case.

You will be supported by a number of technical and non-technical team members and where required will engage specialists to deliver aspects of your work.
