ACT Emergency Accommodation Trial

⁠⁠⁠The Territory is seeking to engage one or more qualified Suppliers to deliver short term emergency accommodation services in government supplied properties, using a new and innovative service model, with capacity to improve client outcomes, operational efficiency, and scalability.

The Supplier must be registered with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) as a Community Housing Provider (CHP) and be authorised to operate in the ACT.

The Territory’s objective is to deliver a trial of a new and innovative emergency accommodation program that:

a) provides service users rapid access to emergency housing and support services to ensure their safety and wellbeing;

b) transitions service users to alternate housing or support service solutions following their stay in emergency accommodation; and

c) requires the supplier to actively participate in evidence-based evaluation to inform future policy and program decisions.

The Supplier will:

• manage and operate government assets in accordance with the Territory’s standards;

• establish and operate culturally safe intake processes;

• supply tenancy management services;

• deliver innovative support and wraparound services; and

• ensure services are culturally safe and inclusive
