1 Solution Architect

⁠⁠⁠The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Group is responsible for strategic ICT capability and the delivery of ICT services at the AIHW under the leadership of the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO). The Architecture function within the Office of CITO is seeking a Solution Architect to join the team.

The Solution Architect role works closely with colleagues across all ICT domains, including ICT Security, Infrastructure and Platforms, and Data and Applications. It advises the Institute’s Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) and Architecture Review Board (ARB) regarding the most appropriate technical direction to meet both the Institute’s enterprise and business objectives. It provides this advice through development of advisories, options papers, solution designs and roadmaps as required.

Successful performance of the Solution Architect role will require solid competency in analysis and definition of technical design for complex systems. These systems may leverage both traditional and cloud deployment models involving all ICT domains. Successful performance will also require the ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients in business areas of the Institute and external stakeholders at times.

The Solution Architect role reports to the Technical Architect roles, both of which are based within the Office of CITO.
