Tender Description

The South Australian Government has adopted the Premier and Cabinet Circular PC007 - Climate Ready Government (PC-007) which sets out requirements for public sector agencies to manage climate related risks and opportunities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions (emissions) in their operations.

The Department for Environment and Water (DEW), as the agency responsible for coordinating and monitoring compliance with PC-007, is looking to establish a list of suppliers of professional services that may be able to assist South Australian public sector agencies in meeting some or all the requirements of PC-007.

DEW is seeking information from interested suppliers on their capabilities and relevant experience to supply services to address some or all of the following requirements for government agencies:

  •  emissions measurement, emissions inventory development and emissions modelling at a government agency level
  •  identifying emissions reduction opportunities and projects and undertaking emissions project cost/benefit analysis
  •  developing agency carbon management plans (CMPs) and longer-term emissions reduction strategies
  •  developing agency and business unit climate risk and opportunity assessments, including climate scenario analysis and preparation of risk registers
  •  identifying risk and opportunity management actions and projects and undertaking project cost/benefit analysis
  •  reviewing and/or supporting the update of an agency’s corporate policies, processes and procedures, and/or whole of government policies and processes, to include requirements to manage climate risk, opportunities and emissions
  •  project management and stakeholder engagement as it relates to emissions reduction planning, climate risk and opportunity assessment and/or updating policies and procedures
  •  independent audit, assurance, review or verification of public sector agencies’ emissions inventories, CMPs and climate change risk assessments.
