Conservation Management Plans for Various Council Heritage Buildings

⁠⁠⁠Scope

CMP Requirements

Each CMP must include the following:

• A comprehensive assessment of the building, its curtilage and its heritage significance.
• Review and grading of individual elements based on their heritage value.
• Detailed condition assessment of building fabric and materials.
• Analysis of constraints, opportunities and stakeholder requirements, including potential future uses.
• Consideration of anticipated changes in service demand, population growth, usage trends, and technological developments.
• A detailed Schedule of Conservation Works and a Maintenance and Repair Schedule, to be included as appendices.
• Planning for renewal, replacement and disposal of building elements.
• Conservation policies to support implementation of the CMP, schedules and ongoing management.
• Consideration of hazardous materials (refer to attached Hazardous Materials Register), with recommendations for removal and replacement where possible.
• Structural integrity assessment of the building by a qualified structural engineer.
• Inclusion of photographs, architectural drawings, historical documentation and other relevant materials.

Any additional information necessary to ensure a complete and practical CMP.
