Tender Description

Alexandrina Council invites Tenders for the provision of technical design and construction of an amenities building at the Milang Lakeside Caravan Park.

Milang Lakeside Caravan Park is located on Woodrow Drive, Milang, on the shores of Lake Alexandrina—Australia’s largest permanent freshwater lake system. Owing to its scenic lakeside setting and tranquil environment, the park is a well-established destination for visitors throughout the year.

The existing ablution block is in poor structural condition and has reached the end of its asset life. Council proposes to replace this facility and is seeking professional services for the detailed design and construction of a new amenities block.

An initial design phase has already been completed, resulting in the development of concept designs and partial completion of the architectural and engineering documentation.

Council is now seeking to engage a qualified contractor to finalise all drawings, plans, and specifications to a standard sufficient to obtain development approval, and to undertake the construction of the new amenities block.

The successful contractor shall comply at all times with the Work Health and Safety Act (SA), all applicable Australian Standards, and SafeWork SA Codes of Practice throughout all stages of the works.

All Services are to be provided in accordance with the Specifications contained within the RFT documentation, and Council will enter into an Agreement for Services with the successful Tenderer.
