Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC)

⁠⁠⁠AUDIT, RISK AND IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE STRUCTURE 

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (Committee) is a Committee of the Armidale Regional Council. Committee meetings are closed to the public. Minutes of the Committee meetings will be presented to Council for information through the General Manager. The Committee consists of three independent external members (Chairperson and two independent members) with provision for one Councillor non-voting member. Selected Council staff attend meetings as non-voting members.

AUDIT, RISK AND IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES

The objective of Armidale Regional Council’s audit, risk and improvement committee is to provide independent assurance to Armidale Regional Council by monitoring, reviewing and providing advice about the Armidale Regional Council’s governance processes, compliance, risk management and control frameworks, K2A project, external accountability obligations and overall performance.
