Department of Education - Vasse West Primary School 2028

⁠⁠⁠Project Background

The Department of Education (DoE) has received funding for four new primary school sites.

This Expression of Interest DHW0013625 (EOI DHW0013625) is for a new primary school in the South West region in Vasse.

The locations have been selected based on forecast student enrolment and are projected to have large student enrolments over the long-term.

The opening of these new schools will:

• Increase the permanent student accommodation for each precinct to meet long-term student enrolments;

• Ensure a fairer distribution of enrolments across existing schools and prevent schools from reaching over 1,000 students;

• Provide essential enrolment relief to neighbouring schools under enrolment pressure, which will enable the removal of long-term transportables at existing schools where possible.

The primary schools are required to be open for the 2028 school year.

• Construction of a new standard pattern primary school at Vasse.
