ROPS - Supply and Delivery of Tyres and Services

Cook Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for appointment as a pre-qualified supplier for the supply and delivery of tyres and services as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.

This requirement includes, but not limited to the following items:

• Passenger vehicle tyres

• Light commercial tyres

• Truck tyres

• Plant machinery tyres

• Agricultural machinery tyres; and

• Mower tyres

OPERATIONAL FRAMEWORK

1. Council will contact the supplier and advise them of the services required and forward the appropriate details.

2. Council will inspect the completed work and sign off on such as deemed appropriate when the works have been completed

3. The supplier/s and its employees are only authorised to drive and operate the units or arrange transport for units to and from Council’s facilities for the purposes of performing schedule repairs inclusive off-road testing to confirm successful completion of such work.

4. While the unit is in possession of the supplier, all costs incurred as a result of an accident, theft, loss, driver traffic infringement, or related costs will be met by the supplier.

5. Parts provided by the supplier for repair and/or replacement must conform with manufacturer’s warranty requirements or as recommended or approved by the relevant manufacturer. All materials and parts to be used in the repair must, in addition to the requirements above, be:

   a. As recommended or approved by the relevant Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or alternatives which meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specifications,

   b. New or service exchange

   c. Fit for their intended purpose

6. Where the decision or actions of the supplier or their agent has resulted in voiding of the OEM’s or distributor’s warranty, the supplier will be liable for all costs associated with the warranty work otherwise voided and such costs liability shall extend to the end of the formally accepted warranty period agreed at the time of asset or part/s purchase.

7. The supplier will be required to hold a sufficient stock of fast-moving tyres and consumables to ensure turnaround time is minimised.

We anticipated the contract will be for a period of two (2) years with a further two (2) extensions of twelve (12) months each.
