Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (the Department) is firmly focused on driving a strong and resilient economy that benefits all Victorians – by creating more opportunities for people through jobs and skills; supporting businesses and industries to grow and prosper; and building vibrant communities and regions.
Engagement background:
CarbonNet is a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project jointly funded by the Victorian and Commonwealth governments. The project holds two Greenhouse Gas Assessment permits for its storage sites Pelican and Kookaburra. The project has completed extensive feasibility studies, including a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for the Loy Yang to Golden Beach pipeline enabling domestic CO₂ transport and storage at Pelican. CarbonNet is broadening its scope to consider interstate and international customers by shipping CO2 directly to the Kookaburra and/or Pelican storage sites, without onshore offloading, storage and transport.
Purpose of the engagement:
To assess and deliver a high-level fit for purpose offshore development design for CarbonNet’s geological storage sites in the Gippsland Basin.
