Manapouri Unit 2 Components Supply RFP

To address the poor slowdown and stopping performance of the Manapouri hydro generators, Meridian has initiated a project of works that will see about the repair/restoration of each effected hydro generators. The overall project will deliver upon the following scope:

• Replacement wicket gates.
•  Replacement of head cover and bottom rings.
•  Replacement of servos.
•  Refurbishment of all rotating elements and generating equipment.
•  Full machine disassembly.
•  Reassembly of fully refurbished machine.
•  Testing and commissioning of machine with a 30-year performance life.

Meridian wishes to engage with one or several companies to supply a range of small associated components. The respondents can choose either to offer all types of components requested or some types of components only. The newly manufactured components are designed to work within the existing machine envelope.

The goods include the shop drawings, manufacture, and delivery of one (1x) set of bearing housing, swing ring, links, levers, and pins. The goods include, but are not limited to, the following:

•  Procurement and supply of all input materials.
•  Manufacture and supply of the bearing housing, swing ring, links, levers, and pins.
•  Comprehensive quality control of all manufactured items.
•  Health and Safety management.
•  Project management and reporting.
•  Delivery of all manufactured goods from manufacture location to the Delivery Place.
•  Supply of manufacture documentation including; as manufactured drawings, materials certifications, quality assurance records, project management and manufacture reports, and transportation records.
