Scope of Work
Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) is inviting expressions of interests from suitably qualified organisations to design a Biodiversity Offsets Calculation and Attribution Methodology for its Pilbara operations in Western Australia. The Methodology is intended to enable RTIO to calculate the quantum offsets generated from direct and indirect offsets projects, to then attribute to relevant environmental approvals obtained under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (WA) and Parts 9 and 10 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
