Traction Power SCADA Maintenance Contract Renewal 2026 - 2031

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a single supplier standing offer arrangement regarding the provision of support services for the PTA’s Traction Power SCADA (TPS) system, currently owned and maintained by the Operational Technology section of the Information Management & Operational Systems (IMOS) division of the PTA. It provides for the safe operation and control of the high voltage distributed traction power system. To prevent the operator from executing unsafe commands it utilises two Schneider Modicon M580 interlocking PLC’S, that provide the vital interlocking of traction power controls.

The control of the PTA’s Overhead Line System is with a CITECT SCADA system (commonly referred to as TPS or TP SCADA).

It is currently comprised of the following equipment:

• Terminal Servers (25);
• Remote Switching System PLC’s (2);
• General Electric D25 Remote Terminal Unit (24);
• Slave RTU (IBOX Controller) (35);
• M580 Interlocking PLC’s (2);
• TP SCADA Workstations (7);
• TP SCADA Servers (2); and
• CITECT SCADA Version (2018 v8.10 update 31, May 11, 2021.

The scope of services has been separated into three (3) parts

1. Software Support Services
2. Engineering Support Services – the support processes required for the Maintenance Support and Enhancement and Modification Support Process
3. Field Support Services – the Maintenance Support Services required for protection relay device and other TP SCADA field equipment
