Expressions of Interest Open for the 2026 Get Out Get Active Health & Fitness Program

Burdekin Shire Council has received funding from Health and Wellbeing Queensland to partner with local gyms and fitness providers to deliver a diverse range of community health and fitness initiatives in 2026.

The Get Out Get Active Health & Fitness Program aims to inspire residents of all ages and abilities to begin, or continue, their personal health and wellbeing journey through inclusive, accessible and engaging activities.

Council is now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Burdekin-based gyms and fitness providers who wish to participate as program partners.

Participating providers will have the opportunity to:

• Deliver inclusive and engaging health and fitness activities

• Support community members across a wide range of ages, abilities and fitness levels

• Contribute to a healthier and more active Burdekin community

Providers are encouraged to submit an EOI outlining their proposed programs, qualifications, and relevant experience.

How to Apply: EOIs must be submitted in writing to commdev@burdekin.qld.gov.au by Friday 20 February 2026.
