Provision of Legal Services Panel

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited from appropriately qualified legal service providers for appointment to a panel for supply of a range of legal and associated services.

Successful firms will be appointed to a panel for each category. Council reserves the right to accept its own panel to reflect its requirements. A firm may submit a Tender for more than one category, but the Tender must give specific details for each category regarding costs, staff and service.

Once the panel is selected, it can be expected that Council will utilise a firm from the panel as and when required. A single firm is not expected to receive all Council’s work. Local prosecutions, advice and appearances are likely to be handled by one or more local legal service providers on the panel.

The term of this panel arrangement will be for three years with a two-year option to extend for a further two years at Council’s sole discretion.
