Disposal of Minor Equipment & Surplus Items

The Barunga West Council has determined the following items as being minor plant and equipment and are now being disposed of in accordance with Section 49 of Local Government Act 1999.

These items are sold as is, in variable conditions and viewing will only be at times allocated. View Items Here

Items can be ONLY viewed at their respective locations, at the following times:

• Bute Depot - 10am to 11am Thursday 12 February 2026
• Port Broughton Depot - By appointment, phone 8635 2107

HOW TO SUBMIT AN OPEN TENDER

• Tenders will be accepted from 1.00pm Monday 9 February 2026 and must be received prior to closing date.
• Submissions received after this time may not be accepted.
• Acceptance of tender amounts is at the discretion of Council.
• Ensure the tender is placed in a sealed envelope clearly labeled Sale and Disposal of Minor Equipment & Surplus - Feb 2026
• Offers must contain: Relevant Lot Number, Full Name, Address, Phone Number and Tender Offer
• Incomplete offers will be deemed invalid

At conclusion of the offer period Council will notify the successful tenderers. If there is more than one party with an equal maximum bid, they will be notified by Council and allowed an opportunity to resubmit a further bid for that item.

Successful tenders will be granted a period of 48 hours once invoiced to finalise payment.

Collection of items

Collection of items is at the successful tenderer’s own expense and must occur on the allocated date and time from the item’s location. Successful tenderers will be notified of the nominated collection date, which will be scheduled during business hours on a Thursday.
