Acalypha St, Tom Price Refurbishment

The Shire of Ashburton seeks to engage a suitably licensed and experienced contractor to refurbish 397 Acalypha Street in Tom Price.

All Rooms

• Ducting within the ceiling cavity to remain in-situ.

Flooring

• Asbestos containing vinyl floor tiles continue underneath the flooring throughout all rooms excluding the bathroom. See lab results in Attachment 2 - A-14572_174341_Certificate_WH_13062025_v1.

Kitchen

Joinery:

• Before material is ordered, shop drawings are required to be approved by the Shire of Ashburton. Allowance is to be made by the Contractor for Shop Drawings.

Electrical

• Allowance to be made for new circuits as required.

Plumbing:

• Provision to be made for waste line through the gable within dishwasher space and on trap from sink.

Laundry & WC

Tiling:

• 600mm x 300mm splashback tiles to laundry trough.
• Skirting tiles to the perimeter of the laundry and WC.

Joinery:

• Install double door 900mm base cabinet.
• Install double door overhead cabinet to match base cabinet width.

Bathroom

Demolition:

• Wall linings are an asbestos containing material, see Attachment 3 - Asbestos Testing Results 397 Acalypha.

Tiling:

• Supply and install silicones to bathroom as required.
• External corners to have no butt joints. Aluminium tile trims and mitres to be allowed for.
• Install new chrome floor wastes with removable inserts.

Plumbing:

• Allowance to be made to relocate plumbing to suit mixer set ups.
