Tender Description

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of an Amenities Refurbishment at Miami State High School, located at 2137-2205 Gold Coast Highway, Miami QLD 4220, as part of the Amenities Program (AMEN) program.

The existing building is a single story blockwork structure, centrally located on the school grounds. The scope of works includes but is not limited to asbestos removals, removal and replacement of existing internal wall, floor and ceiling finishes, fixtures and fittings, new WC partitions, new gates and screens, new hydraulics, minor external works. Full scope of works as detailed in Tender Issue Folder 02 – Drawings and Specifications.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1M

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
