Beerwah Golf Club is calling for tenders to deliver an upgrade to the existing irrigation system. The upgrade involves the construction of irrigation mains to all 18 holes and to the existing pump shed. The scope also includes assessment of and possible upgrades to the existing pump set. The irrigation mains project includes underground construction of HDPE PE100 PN12.5 lilac poly pipe and valve assemblies ranging from 90mm to 200mm in diameter. Also included is electrical cabling to all mains trenches and upgrades as necessary to the irrigation controls systems. There is approximately 8,000m of pipe to be constructed.

At present the irrigation project is proposed to be undertaken in 2 x distinct stages, with Stage 1 being the works noted above to the irrigation mains. Stage 2 includes the supply and installation of the lateral pipes and sprinklers, as well as the associated cables and electrical. These are covered in items 3.1, 3.2, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 7.2 of the attached Bill of Quantities. These items will be included as Provisional, and should funding be available, may be included in the contract for Stage 1.

It should be noted this project is partially funded by the state government recreation, sports and arts department. Delivery of the irrigation mains will be phased to minimise the impact to the playing members and guests and is planned for delivery by end July 2026. It is intended to run the contract under AS2124 – General Conditions of Contract.
