2026 Game Changer Challenge - Sponsorship Request - Expression of interest - Industry Partners and Event Supporters

⁠⁠⁠This is an opportunity to sponsor the 2026 Game Changer Challenge (GCC), the department’s multi award-winning design thinking competition.

Project goals

The Game Changer Challenge (GCC) is open to all 2,200+ NSW public schools and centres on discovering solutions for a real-world wicked problem.

Teams of up to 5 students, from Years 3 to 12, submit an online portfolio and video pitch demonstrating their understanding of and research conducted on the wicked problem.

Teachers and students are supported with webinars, playbook resources and downloads to help them throughout each stage.

Industry Partners and Event Supporters are invited to participate in the challenge as judges throughout each stage and attend the grand final to provide real-life connections, advice and support to students.

The Game Changer Challenge aims to:

• introduce students to the concept of design thinking as a skill and method for thinking about challenges, solving problems, working collaboratively and improving lives.

By involving external organisations we aim to:

• give NSW public school students the skills to be creative, entrepreneurial and competitive in a global market
• expose students to the best and brightest minds working in the private sector to draw on their expertise and industry knowledge
• inspire students with knowledge about possible career paths in a variety of fields they may not have considered
• support, inform and inspire students to choose post-school pathways aligned to their goals.
• provide broad, inclusive and rich curriculum with strong co-curricular activities.

Scope

Industry Partners and Event Supporters will support the program as sponsors through:

• financial contributions that help us to continually improve the scope, quality and reach of the program
• value in kind contributions that supply the challenge with judges, mentors, advisors, experts and inspirational speakers.
