Tender Description

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) holds state-wide responsibility for planning future communities and plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for all Western Australians. Through strategic planning of cities, towns, and transport routes, DPLH helps connect people to jobs, communities, and recreational spaces, while also generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs via the planning approval process.

DPLH is working in partnership with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) on the Bidyadanga (BID-yuh-DANG-ah) Land Activation Pilot Project (Bidyadanga Project) - a $7.3 million place-based initiative designed to unlock land tenure and support long-term sustainability for Bidyadanga, Western Australia’s largest remote Aboriginal community.

This project is a collaborative effort between the WA Government, community residents, and native title holders. It aims to remove land tenure barriers through the establishment of an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) and an Implementation Deed, enabling future development and investment in the community.

To support the development of the ILUA and Implementation Deed, DPLH requires the services of a suitably qualified surveyor to undertake a comprehensive cadastral survey of Bidyadanga.
