The Ministry of Education (NZ) engaged a main building contractor for structural remediation and window joinery replacement works at Windley School, Porirua, covering Blocks A, L and P2.
About
Historical water ingress in the DP's office at Windley School damaged the existing window joinery and adjacent flooring. Numerous windows in Blocks L and P2 had also been identified as inoperable, causing ventilation issues.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Replacement of existing window joinery damaged by water ingress in the DP's office
- Minor building works to the floor in the DP's office to remediate damage, covered by a provisional sum
- Careful removal and replacement of inoperable windows in Blocks L and P2 with double glazed aluminium windows and joinery
- Making good all finishes disturbed during the works
