Tender ID: 604852
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Queensland Government is piloting the establishment of a support service for government-funded vocational education and training (VET) students to help them complete their qualifications. The objective of the Student Support Network is to provide a case managed approach to student support programs that address a student's academic, personal, practical and emotional well-being needs that may impact a student’s ability to complete their training.
The Student Support Network is designed to support government-funded VET students, with a particular focus on priority cohorts under the National Skills Agreement — including First Nations students, women, and other nationally recognised equity groups. The service will be targeted towards the approximately 110,000 learners enrolled at the network of Queensland government funded registered training organisations – known as Skills Assure Suppliers - who are not already supported through existing programs, such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work, VET in Schools or internal TAFE Queensland support services.
The Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and capable organisation/s to deliver the service as a pilot across Queensland throughout the pilot period (July 2026-December 2028).
The Department will hold a virtual Supplier Briefing session on Wednesday 4 February 2026 between 9:30am and 10:30am (AEST) via Microsoft Teams. The briefing will cover an overview of the Department, the Improving Completions Bilateral Implementation Plan and the Student Support Network activity. There will also be a questions and answers (Q&As) section where Suppliers can ask questions. For further information regarding the Supplier Briefing Session and registration process, please refer to the tender document.
