Tender Description
The Parliamentary Services Department of the Parliament of Western Australia is seeking to procure the services of a media monitoring supplier to enable the provision of constant access to news of relevance and interest to clients of the Parliamentary Library of WA.
The Western Australian Parliamentary Library provides information services to members of Parliament to support them in their constituency and legislative roles, as well as to their staff and the staff of Parliament WA, all of whom require on-demand access to information. The Library brokers a comprehensive media monitoring service and news database to enable its clients to access a 24/7 feed of newspaper, TV and radio clips through a portal and can customise their views to provide topics of interest to them. Library clients also have access to historical news media articles and clips through the Library’s archive database collection.
A cloud based news platform is required which provides uninterrupted (24/7, 365 days a year) access to newspaper, TV and radio clips from all major Australian print, online and broadcast news outlets, including all Western Australian media statewide. Additionally, the delivery of media clips via file transfer protocol or equivalent will enable the retention of news clips in perpetuity in an archive database.
The initial contract period will be 3 years, with two 1 year extensions available at the discretion of the Parliamentary Services Department. All functions of the media monitoring service under this Request are to be in place from 1 August 2026.
The respondent must submit their offer electronically by sending it to isikorska@parliament.wa.gov.au before the due date.
