⁠⁠⁠Port Stephens Council (PSC) Local Government Area (LGA) is located two hours north of Sydney in a spectacular natural setting with unique wildlife and strong community spirit by an estimated population of just over 71,000 people which is expected to grow to 92,000 over the next 10 years. The National Visitor Survey, conducted by Tourism Research Australia for year ending March 2024, shows Port Stephens welcomed 1.7 million visitors including 820,000 overnight visitors who stayed almost 2.6 million nights.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitable private businesses and or community groups to fund the supply, installation and maintenance of PSC Standard DSAPT (Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport) compliant bus shelters in exchange for 10 years exclusive adverting rights on funded bus shelters.
