The Museum is responsible for housing, preserving and presenting a vast collection of objects representing the people and places in Australia’s History and Culture. The grounds of the Museum must be maintained and presented to a high standard, so all visitors enjoy their visit, and they complement the site of one of Australia’s most important Cultural Institutions in a building of significance in our Nation’s capital.
The Museum requires the grounds of its satellite repositories to be neat, clean, tidy and well presented with a strong focus on fire mitigation, deterrence of vermin and rainwater run off management.
Due to the ever-changing challenges of the four seasons of the year, natural occurrences within the environment and unpredictable weather events, the organisation that is successful must be able to accommodate all challenges with commitment.
