Orari River Stopbank Repair

Canterbury Regional Council (CRC) is seeking suitably experienced contractors to undertake stopbank repair and reinstatement works along approximately 750 metres of the northern side of the Orari River, between State Highway 1 and the KiwiRail bridge. This summer construction project will restore stopbank form and function following recent high flow events and is based on an issued investigation and design.

What we need

CRC is seeking a capable and reliable earthworks contractor to construct stopbank repairs over an approximately 750 m reach of the Orari River in accordance with provided design drawings. The works include topsoil stripping and replacement, undercutting where required, placement and compaction of structural fill, and reinstatement of stopbank profiles and crest levels.
