Canteen licence opportunity, Emerald Saleyards

Central Highlands Regional Council is inviting proposals from catering professionals or experienced local community organisations to operate the Emerald Saleyards Canteen. The canteen services the Saleyards community and surrounding businesses.

Regular sales are held every Thursday from 8.00 AM, with additional sales, events and operating days throughout the year.

The licence will commence early 2026, with an initial term of 12 months and the potential for extension.

Requirements for the successful applicant:

• Provide food and drinks on sale days and any additional agreed days.
• Maintain all necessary licences and approvals, including a valid Food Business Licence and nomination of a Food Safety Supervisor.
• Hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
• Complete a CHRC Food Business Licence Application.
• Offer a menu suited to the Saleyards community, including breakfast and lunch favourites such as burgers, wraps, slices, cakes, and beverages.
