Tender Description
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW), National Parks and Public Lands Division wishes to engage a supplier for the provision of a bulk water carrying fire appliance. The supplier will be expected to design, fabricate, assemble, and deliver the fire appliance to the provided specification, to be built on a MAN TGS 33.440 6x6 cab-chassis that will be supplied by DEW.
The primary use of the proposed appliance will be to support the DEW prescribed burn program; the appliance will also be expected to support fire suppression when required. The appliance will be expected to have a water carrying capacity of no less than 10,000L and be compatible with the existing Fleet where possible. The appliance will be required to perform well off road and operate in combination with tri-axle trailers (generally in a dog trailer configuration).
