Rail Communication Sites - Solar Battery System Upgrades

Scope of Work

• Works to be completed at two Rail Communications Sites.
• Cherratta - approx 30km South of Karratha on Red Dog Hwy
• Chichester - approx 80km South of Karratha on Red Dog Hwy
• Project site works planned for completion in October 2026

Identical Scope for each site below:

•  Removal and disposal of 120 x Sonnenschein 1500Ahr 2V batteries and battery racks at each site (batteries are 120kg each)
•  Install custom battery racking in the Sea Container Power room that will be free-issued by Rio Tinto.
•  Migrate RBS -48V power source to a temporary battery backup supply while maintaining power continuity at all times to the communications room equipment.
•  Install 84 x Eaton Lithium Battery - 48V 100AH, 3RU Rail Mounting (Part no POATLFeLi-48100F-E). Batteries free issued by Rio Tinto
•  Miscellaneous AC electrical and control wiring works

 As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
