Tender Description

Design, supply and install new switchboards and control system for Yarrangobilly Caves power house. The system is supplied by a hydro-electric power generator with three backup diesel generators.

Project goals

The procurement is needed to design and install a new main switchboard at the Yarrangobilly Caves Precinct Power House. This new switchboard is required to manage the Precinct electrical system to be able to provide constant and reliable electrical power to current facilities, and to an increased number of facilities as proposed under the recently adopted Precinct Plan. If the upgrade to the Powerhouse Distribution Board is not completed, the Yarrangobilly Caves Precinct electrical supply and reticulation system may be compromised, resulting in failure. Any failure could result in adverse impacts on visitor experience and NPWS staff operating systems and conditions.

Scope

This procurement action will involve the design, fabrication, and installation of a main switchboard and control system in the Power House facility that can interface with and manage the existing hydro-electric generator and diesel generator(s) system, as well as the future installation of an inverter, lithium-ion battery storage system, and PV solar array.

A complete scope of works can be found within the Tender Pack. Please review the following documents:
