headspace Whyalla Request for Tender

Country SA PHN currently commissions and manages nine headspace services. The existing sites are in Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Mount Barker, Berri, Murray Bridge, Victor Harbor, Mount Gambier, Gawler, and Whyalla.

The purpose of this RFT is to enable prospective providers to detail their approach to the provision of required services to the terms specified.

Country SA PHN invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, who have the capacity and capability to deliver the services.

A headspace service is currently active in Whyalla. This tender process will open the market while ensuring services continue to operate from the existing centre located at 24/26 Ekblom St, Whyalla Norrie SA.

If a change in Lead Agency occurs as an outcome of the tender process, this will necessitate a transition of service between the current Lead Agency and the incoming Lead Agency.

Funding for the transition of the headspace service is expected to commence from between May and June 2026, with the Centre to be fully operational and services and site transitioned across from the current Lead Agency not later than 1 November 2026.

Applicants will need to demonstrate how they would transition the headspace Whyalla Service and potentially support effective transition of service delivery within a short period of time with minimal risk to young people accessing the service.
