Tender Description

The Victoria Park Bowling Club was originally developed at 18 Kent Street, East Victoria Park between 1953-1960. In 2009-2010 the Carlisle and Victoria Park Bowling Clubs merged to form the Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club (the Club). The Club leases grounds and buildings (11,400 square metres) from the Town, to support a variety of recreational activities and social functions, serving the local and district community.

The Club originally had four functional bowling greens. In 2016, however, the Club negotiated with the Town to convert Bowling Green C and D into courts to accommodate other forms of recreational activity, including soccer (Green D) and rollerblading (Green C). With the recent sub-lease expiry for the soccer court, the Club has requested Bowling Green D be reinstated for Club use and revert to a bowling green. The Town of Victoria Park (the Town) has been issued Council approval and budget to replace the current turf on Bowling Green D (the Green) within the existing configuration of 37.5m x 37.5m (plinth to plinth), with a new synthetic green.

The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026 in line with key milestones as set out in the Towns 2025-26 Capital Works Program and recent CSRFF Grant Funding Agreement. Consideration will be given for a time extension should the recommend surfacing system, referred to in 2.2.1(g) of this document, need to be sourced and freighted from the eastern states.
