Whitsunday Regional Council (Principal) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced electrical services Contractor (Contractor) to undertake upgrade works associated with identified electrical infrastructure asset defects at the Airlie Beach Lagoon Plant Room (ABL) (Works).
The Principal has recently had a condition assessment and asset report carried out on the assets at the ABL, by an independent qualified aquatic plant professional, attached as Appendix A – Airlie Beach Lagoon Asset Report October 2025 to Tender Schedule 1 – Scope of Works. This asset report has the full and complete list of required upgrade works to be completed, electrical and mechanical.
The Contractor is responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the upgraded electrical systems required by the Contract and Clauses 6.19 to 6.21 and Table 7 in Appendix A.
The electrical and mechanical installation, testing and commissioning must be coordinated to ensure the ABL remains available for safe utilisation by the public during these Works.
A mandatory tender briefing will be held Monday, 19th January 2026 10.00am (AEST). The meeting location is WRC Customer Service Office at Whitsunday Plaza (opposite Woolworths), Shute Harbour Road Qld 4802 and then progress to Airlie Beach Lagoon Plant Room, Shute Harbour Rd, Airlie Beach Qld 4802.
N.B. PPE is a requirement to attend this site, at a minimum Hi-Vis long-sleeved shirt, full length pants, steel cap boots and eye protection, it is also recommended to wear sun protection.
